Format
MemoryTools
Security Level 2 - Delete
Description
According to the installed tool schema, Format clears temporary and permanent memory keys. BaseDir is preserved by default. dry_run=true only counts keys; initialize=true also resets BaseDir.
Why This Tool Stands Out
For an intentional memory reset, not text reformatting. Back up data you need before clearing storage.
JSON Parameters
dry_run: optional, default false; true counts without deletion.initialize: optional, default false; true resets BaseDir to the executable path.
Example Call
Preview only; does not delete keys:
{"name":"MemoryTools::Format","arguments":{"dry_run":true,"initialize":false}}Return Values
The schema describes key counting in preview mode. No specific return-object shape is asserted here.
Example Usage
Inspect first with dry_run=true. A call without dry_run=true clears temporary and permanent keys by default; BaseDir remains unless initialize is true.
